Morning Run w/ Cinder

Newport to Yachats. Rough start today, emotionally, as I think having such a fun and full day yesterday, followed by comforts and celebration all really messed with my mindset for getting after this Oregon project. But after about 7 miles, I met an artist, Jerry, painting a bog along a random part of HWY 101. It was odd and wonderful and we chatted and his encouragement renewed my passion for the day. Today overall was a great day. Since I’m staying with friends in Beverly Beach again, I could run with just my hydration vest, leaving the stroller behind at their place. My pace felt easy at 9:10-9:30/ mile and my body responded really well. Miles clicked by and before I knew it I was approaching my destination. Today made me especially grateful for all my hard training - I’m now 172ish miles into Oregon and that’s just over 6 days. Baffles me how far I’ve come in a year, but that’s what showing up each day and believing in a goal can do! Grateful for friends and family who continue to pray for safety and health- I feel the prayers and experience the answers.
