Morning Ride

Crashed after about 45k. I think the rider in front of me had a touch of wheels with the rider in front of him. Luckily, I tumbled head over heels onto a grassy shoulder and not the road. Hurt shoulder and knee, but finished the race. Rick Noble, a diplomat from the Netherlands, won the race. He rode away from the group after 40 or so km and it took everything I had to get up to him and those following him. I managed to hold the wheel for a few minutes, but he just rode me off his wheel. I don't regret trying to follow, but I wish I had held a little longer... might have put me somewhere else besides behind Mr. Crash at the key moment.
