I was so determined to take the bike out into the rain for three hours of flooded worlds. But then the insurance called me and all mood for cycling was gone. They think about reaching for a surveyor. Four weeks and the Orbea still is not in repair. I'm starting to lose my patience. And I'm getting angry. So instead I had two days off, trying to get a feel for the beautiful 737-600 and been looking out of the window a lot.

Today I was feeling better and I tried to have a good ride. But my head was still too occupied with everything. Baumholder and Thallichtenberg flew by, the valleys disappeared unrecognised. I was on autopilot, rolling on rails, as if I someone else has taken full authority over me. My mind, however, was thinking about the crash, friendships, family, books, aircraft and a lot of other things. Everything but the ride. Three weeks off work come to an end and I feel mentally exhausted. How?!

On the ride there's nothing to add. I barely took part.
