Original plan: since Jesse and I were beyond sick of gravel slowness, we decided to abandon the remainder of the Tree to Sea Loop and expedite our journey home via the highway. We planned on doing 150k Wed, then 120k Thursday to catch the ferry from Nanaimo. We also tried to figure out if we could catch a bus from Campbell River to Nanaimo, but that didn't pan out. But then...

Jesse - "Should we just bike all the way to Nanaimo?"
Greg - "Yeah let's do it"

Went into full diesel mode fueled by island gas stations. Oh, but we only ate candy and sandwiches, we couldn't afford to drink diesel. Turns out we could get here faster than we would've on tomorrow's bus 😂

I can't believe we freaking did this. Such a blissful time listening to tunes on the 19A in the dark.

Other fun events - drafting behind a tractor and hitting 45kph like it was nothing. Also jumping in the Courtenay river.
