Connecting more dots in the alpine lakes wilderness! Great day with the speedy bois Daniel Briggs Uli Steidl and Kolbe Short ! We seemed to have found a hole in the smoke but watched the bolt creek fire blow up near skykomish. I've been curious about the north ridge of Daniel and Daniel glacier. This route was easy and great but I really can't recommend the traverse around the east side of pea soup lake in any way... But we figured it out and got up the glacier before the snow refroze (we made the questionable decision to bring no traction in September) and after our third attempt, Denny finally got up his namesake! Descent got real slow when it got dark due to only two headlamps amongst 4 people 😝
