Goal was sub-43/42, achieved.
Chris Thompson did a pre-race intro, gave us a 2 minute head start and then came zooming past. I introduced myself to a Fetchie (https://www.fetcheveryone.com/ ) I spotted while in the starting pen - llamadance. Also saw him afterwards and had a nice chat.
Only one big hill from 0.7km to 2.5km. Big downhill from 3-4km saw me get a watch 1km PB of 3:30. I got passed by a couple of people climbing but from 2.5km to the end I was catching and passing people 😀
Richard Jacks found me while waiting before we formed up, and we found Noel Rooney too.
Still highly rating these Nike Zoom Fly 4s. My legs don't feel beaten up despite the steep descent.
