In January, Trevor Gibney told me I should consider doing Moran so thank you for that. 

Day started FAST with 170 riders cut down to 20-25 riders by mile 40 and by mile 60, the war of attrition continued slimming it down to 15. The real fireworks started at mile 77 with some deep soft gravel causing the group to get down to ten. A rippin two track section left just six riders at mile 90 - Jorden Wakeley, Bobby Munro, Trevor Gibney, Jared Dunham, Tyler Tafelsky, Charles Cunnick and myself. At mile 101, Jorden put in a blistering effort up some elevation and went solo off the front. However, by mile 110, the group minus Trevor had reformed. Things started to get hot on a long road section and we lost Jared. By mile 120ish, Bobby caught me overplaying my hand and I paid getting blasted off the back. 

Rolled solo for about ten miles before Jared and I teamed up agreeing to get to the finish line together. Jared was a monster through the two track and beyond. I cannot express how happy I was for his company and wheel. So lucky to stumble upon this situation and enjoyed the last 40 or so miles trading pulls and stories. As he did so much work, it was only appropriate he take 5th place. 

I can’t properly represent Moran’s incredible experience and am very proud of the day. Very excited for the off-season to unofficially start. Congratulations to all who toed the line today, that is a big one especially Joshua Creem for being an amazing friend/teammate, Daniel Bakshi 🇨🇦 on his monster 166 effort then Nicky Bates and Erik Godzilla killing the 66 miler 🚂
