Mill Cities Relay - 1st

May have found my limits today. In the clouds above tree line with wind increasing each step of the way. The MWOBS had temps in the 30s with winds 50-70 (gusts 80mph) and a real feel of 15-25. Mountain Forecast said Monroe was 32 with 20-25mph winds and a real feel of 14 during my trip. Either way, I think I may call 50mph my wind cap for a hike, at least while wearing shorts.

Hike was good. Was debating adding on Washington, but conditions made my decision pretty easy. Wind was strong at the hut, but only got stronger on the ascent to Monroe. From nearly knocking me sideways on the ascent to literally moving me as I tried to jog a bit on the initial decent. Worst part really was the fog that greatly reduced my visibility.

All in all, I can't complain about the trip and did summit (though no pictures) so I'll call the day a win. A Pemi on Saturday will have my October looking real good heading into next year.
