Ripper day.  The disappointment in getting to the Toolleen pub before opening turned out to be a blessing in disguise.  Instead we crossed the Mt Camel range with a short climb to detour to the Shiraz Republic Winery/Brewery.  Rewarded with spectacular views and a superb beer and pizza lunch in idyllic surrounds.  Need to come back on a day ride and stay longer.  

Penance for lunch was dished out with a nasty (longer, steeper) climb over a more northerly part of the range, full bellies groaning in protest, though the red dirt roads were again spectacular.  

Another detour for some silo art gazing at Colbinabbin was followed by Matt's puncture curse striking again.  Always funnier when it happens to someone else.   Impressed with his 'bikehack' double tubing, the act of a frustrated man who is puncturing on a weekly basis.

We were treated to the world’s least greasy hamburger with the lot in Rushworth, and headed off to Green’s Whroo Historic Reserve Campground loaded with all the water we could carry.  A beautiful, quiet campground, heaps of space.  

Twas a good day.
