New record! 💥💥

Great way to finish off 2022 that’s been hampered by more than I care to remember! 

Fully self-supported but believe beats the current supported record by around 20mins (I also ran 2 miles further!!!)

Was a run of two half’s with the 2nd half being an absolute bog between Bamburgh and the Causway crossing making for really hard going underfoot and really slowed progress more than I’d expected - I also lost my last Maurten sachet (think it fell out of my race vest) which cost me ~10mins trying to find a shop in Belford for fuel - saved by a hotel that was luckily open! I then had to scale a 10ft fence at a closed railway crossing (not my best idea, but no way I was going back) and later found out there was a diversion in place, but I didn’t know that at the time! 🤦‍♂️

All in all a great adventure and it felt great to be running long again - legs felt good - it’s been a while 😃😃

Got the 🔥 back now so onwards and upwards in 2023! 🙌
