Hike with the pups

Festive 500.  Did this 2 years ago and managed 933 miles. This year's goal was 1000 miles for the eight day stretch.   Perfect weather, some interesting routes... but more importantly, some great people to share the suffering with.  The older I get, the more I enjoy seeing what I can push myself to do.  I'm grateful to still be able to occasionally surprise myself:  I may not be able to win races very often, but seem to be able to will myself to do silly things when I put my mind to it.  Here's to hoping I can keep that up over the next year.  I also have the best support team around: my wife and friends deal with me.  Thank you!  Some numbers: 1026.1 miles = 1651.4 km.  52 h 24 m. 2511 tss, 258 fatigue, 148 fitness, -103 form.  Finished 3rd in the US, 14th in the world.  All miles outside, as it should be.
