Mega drama to make it to the start...fixed my puncture from Thursday night but stupidly put in a previously repaired inner tube. Turns out my inner tube repair skills are shit and I had another flat 10 mins in to my cycle to Euston. Quick pit stop to change inner tube then had to go full throttle to make it in time for my train. Arrived 2 mins to spare to find train delayed. Waiting waiting and now going to miss my Watford connecting train so thought if I can get to Watford then I'll just cycle to St Albans (no idea where to go though how hard can it be!).  Waiting waiting, train cancelled! About to admit defeat but last resort and Uber came to the rescue. 50 mins before race start, 40 mins estimated travel time...Lost some time but arrived at race HQ with 5 mins left to pick up number and get to the start half a mile away! Plenty of time obviously as got to the start line with 1 minute to spare:-)
