The community of Santos was swept under the carpet by the Cross Florida Barge Canal. Behind the Sheriffs office on 301 there is a small park  "The Island" where you can see the supports for the 301 canal bridge and learn some history of the area, it's people and the canal. If you look carefully you can see my bike under the support arch! And, people ride past this all the time and don't know it's there
