Where are the training wheels?

Over the past couple of years I’ve visited Montgomery Bell numerous times. This route wasn’t on the FKT website a few years ago, so seeing a little red dot on the map next to Clarksville was very exciting! The loop was more difficult than I expected. Very technical with lots of exposed rocks/roots and eight creek crossings. Constant elevation change combined with the uneven tee made it difficult to find my stride. I only got my feet wet three times though! Running the loop counterclockwise gave me a nice downhill section around mile nine. I usually start at the visitor center, but starting at the warehouse saved the creek crossings until the end. Although I’m not super impressed with my time, I did manage to put up a decent FKT. All I have to do now is wait for official verification.
