Evening Ride

Fai Mok joined me for his first RUSA brevet!  We had constant 12 mph wind from the south or southwest all day with gusts up to 17 mph.  Temperature was 32 degrees at the start and my fingers were numb from getting ready without gloves; kept them warm during the first 1-2 hours of the ride by pressing one hand against the skin under my shirt.  Temperatures were up into the 50s and 60s pretty quickly which was nice.  The ride south was slow going against the wind, but we were rewarded with a fast and easy ride going north before a little bit of extra work going west with a cross wind to the finish.
