terrible roads but good company

yearly update on the state of quantum computing run

set out with adam to try and find some climbs in the southern bit of the vercors. started with the small golf course climb and had a nice descent into a village where we promptly got lost. taking the backroads to vif ended up being fairly slow going (bad roads and directions). adam wanted to stay with me on the climb so i just plugged into a podcast and kept it steady. when it started flattening out by the top i started ramping it up only to realize it would get steep again - as a result, i kept up the effort to the top. on the ride over from grenoble i was experiencing problems with my R hip flexor* (due to position change?), but it didn't get worse  or bother me when climbing so i kept going. quick descent before the second climb which was nice and moderate - perfect for my style. just plugged in and watched for signs towards st. andeol. adam was thrashed after the initial effort on the first climb, so after a bit of a wait at the top we descended back and had a shorter, steeper climb to get back on the main road. adam started pulling and we had a tailwind. once we made it to Jean Jaures it was smooth sailing - sprinting in the bus lane to stay ahead of the buses. good fun to end it.
