Generally speaking the only KOMs I get excited about are from the last lap of big crits. But I can’t deny that I have long eyeballed the KOM someone made that overlaps with the spot where I do my AWC intervals. Today I was feeling good and after my first effort I noticed I had a ripping, red flag weather warning tailwind. So I went for it. I sat up at the wrong hydrant on my first try, and that was my best effort. But I tried again and went to the right spot and got it on the second attempt. Haven’t done 650 for a minute in many, many years.
