Super stoked about the P3, but slightly bittersweet one too, since this was supposed to be Jo-man's race. I was just doing domestique duties in the first half, controlling the pace of the bunch and bringing back some uncharacteristically early attacks from Rick, setting up Joel for an attack after the u-turn. But he crashed right when he attacked due to a skipping chain. After that the bunch showed a great deal of sportsmanship by dropping the pace until it was confirmed he had DNFed, so kudos to all racers for that. Lots of attacking followed. Chinmay threw a well-timed counterattack after an attack from Sree and no one responded to it. Then Rick went and joined him to create a two-man break. Had a moment of mental weakness as well, because in retrospect | could've made a hard effort to join them at that point instead of waiting for others. The bunch was never able to work cohesively enough to bring back the runaway duo, so the fight was for P3 after a certain point. Attacked and went with about 1.2 k to go, which I now realise was a bit premature, because I had faded a couple hundred metres before the finish. Almost got outsprinted by Sudhey, who sneaked up with a massive sprint on me from a blindspot but kept P3 by a whisker. Crazy race overall.
