Beautiful day for an adventure in the woods! Felt good, legs are strong (thanks to my strength training with Hawk). Heart rate a bit high, need more heat training and anaerobic training. Moderately technical - normal Tennessee technical with lots of roots and fun climbs. Fun trail for sure! Lots of cool bridges with two suspension bridges! So bouncy!!! Whammied pretty hard between miles 4 and 5, gonna have to super glue my knee. Used my spider/snot/sweat bandana to keep a bit of pressure on it to slow the bleeding. Then I didn’t have a spider/snot/sweat bandana for the rest of the run, lol! Slowed a bit and just had fun after hitting the ground so hard. Made a wrong turn with a mile left, oi! Still managed the overall unsupported FKT by over 2 minutes. A great adventure for sure with gorgeous lake views!
