Fantastic shop ride, excellent bunch of riders, good communication, after doing so many solo miles the past few weeks I forget how much fun a group ride can be! The “miracle of the traffic parting” continued for a second time when I reached Division so I took that detour on my way back to the car. 
Quick note to the couple walking and taking up the entire bike path: I ring my bell to let you know I am coming. That is your cue to move to the right as I pass. It is not an invitation to yell out some made-up rules or whatever the voices in your head are telling you to yell at me. The weird anger you brought to what should have been a quick and simple interaction in a pleasant evening (where you just slide a little to the right) is bizarre and a little sad.
PS: A lot of people have asked me exactly what a “douchecanoe” is. They’re hard to describe precisely, but when you see one you know exactly what you’re looking at. Check out the picture attached to this ride for an example of how a Texas Douchecanoe parks his car. Related: I’ve never parked like this in Texas.
