First time skiing in 30 years

it's usually not as bad as i anticipate

I took my son to his baseball game and, under the impression it was a double header, headed out on a ride after the first inning. I have been operating on the commitment that don’t drive but always bike to regions of the city but decided to make an exception here because the driving was incidental to the biking. It saved me an hour of commuting to southern Baltimore so while I feel a little guilty about it I’m happy to have officially covered 2/3 of the city and have plenty of redundant riding awaiting me on future rides. The day was hot, humid, and uncomfortable, the heat coming down from the sun and up from the asphalt. I got trapped on the way back to the game by faulty Google Maps instructions that locked me inside a large industrial fenced region adjacent to the park. I hate areas without pedestrian cut-throughs; they go against the way I think the world should be set up.
