New Year’s Day century is starting to become a tradition

Did I get the last Alpine loop of 2025 on a road bike?

A group with me Stefano, Levi and Ian formed on the first climb and we rode together until about mile 14 after the pavement decent I hit it hard on the 5min climb up to the single track decent to create some separation. I got about a 45 second gap on the decent and Ian closed the gap on the flats right at the feed at mile 24. I stopped at that feed there and Ian rode through. The gap then stayed about 20-40 seconds for the next hour or so. I closed the gap down to about 10 seconds at mile 44 but was low on water and stopped again at that aid station to get more water. The battle was tight today and I am beyond stoked with the result and how I felt on the bike🤘🏼
