Really questioned the first hour if I want to compete in such races in the future. Super dangerous in the beginning.
Of course there are always risks in bike races but I think the race organization could have done much more to make the race a lot safer. The course also wasn't very selective so there were still big groups far into the race.
Got away from the group after about 75 km with three other guys in true Alaphilippe style 💯🔥🚵🏼. Got caught in the flat part after the biggest climb of the day. Lost about estimated 60 - 90 seconds and about 30 positions in the last descent to the finish, but just happy to have finished safe and made a good ride 🔝🔥🚵🏼💯
