Official Time(pending approval) 7 Days 17 hours 57 minutes Supported FKT. 

This was a life changing adventure. The learning curve was huge and I made a lot of mistakes but I’m happy with that time-given the cards I was delt. When Jake had to drop on day two it threw everything up in the air. We had to scramble to form some sort of support team, but it’s hard to call it support. We worked with what we had though-and by day 5 we had a decent set up going. 

The whole trip I was fine muscle wise, never sore or cramping-but I delt with a lot of foot pain from swelling and blisters. As it was my first time doing back to back to back days-life was interesting as my body tried to understand how to get calories, handle the long days and move relatively fast. I am well versed in the mental space needed for a 50 mile race but this kind of trip pushed me to new levels of pain and endurance. 

I am so grateful for my support crew who did an amazing job give the circumstances, for the beautiful scenery(minus Highway 101 walking😂I’m done getting buzzed by Nissan altimas going 110 miles an hour), and the ability my body and mind have to push beyond what I thought was possible. 

Now it’s time to let the feet recover and set my sights on performing at some fast approaching 50 milers and other FKT attempts. I’m grateful for the mental space I acquired on this trip, knowing it will give me a huge edge during these races.
