Morning Run

Great day. Fun to see the loop in this direction! Loop is in great shape, just two or three minor snowfields to cross on the east side of Pawnee Pass. Lots of water on the trail & high creeks.

I had a theory that this way might be faster, but after doing this at a moderate effort I'm doubtful. Ye gods, that little bump over the Aububon shoulder felt tough at mile 20+, and that was without pushing too hard on any of the earlier stuff. But then it's not as if the other way is easy, and I very much liked not having to go *up* that extremely long climb to Pawnee Pass from the west side. Might have to come back and do a harder effort just to see how fast this way can go.

Lefthand Canyon was closed to cars on the way home, so I got a fun dirt-road tour of western Boulder County. Sawmill to Gold Hill, then down Sunshine Canyon. Very pretty out there.
