Ok, that applies mostly to the first half. The second half turned into a debacle when I didn’t see the sign for the bridge out at Lake Wyola, so I had to backtrack to the nearest dirt road detour. Needless to say, TT bikes, 23mm tires, and especially my super short brake levers were all a bad match for the pavé, and with my arm already swollen from the stings every little undulation felt like getting punched. That lasted for a highly unpleasant 14 minutes, but afterwards it was a delightful ride on home.
