The geese are hanging out on the ice. Odd.

After going to bed on almost an empty stomach, and waking to cannon at 05:00 (seriously, it’s a wedding thing in the valley around Mals; and they shake windows) the Stelvio felt hard today. It probably does any day, it’s what, 25k? Definitely worthy of its fame, lots of great views, and a wee village of shops and restaurants up top. I’d planned to hit the Gavia and Mortirolo too, but today was not the day. Downhill to Tirano, wash clothes, have a proper meal. Win/win.
