slow rolling and slagged from this week, but it was nice to get out.  fog was <50 ft visibility at the house, and I grossly miscalculated — cleared out in 10-15 mins up the mtn and I was wearing plaid instead of sunscreen. doah!  

I usually ride all these trails in the other direction, which I like more, but was different to ride ‘em clockwise / it’s a great transect from round top to lake chabot.  kind of a mini adventure in the back yard.

couple of small tragedies along the route… one of my favorite oaks in round top creek died and fell down, and a big sow on the side of pinehurst — probably a car, but also looked gored by a tusk?  road side drama. 

saw some adorable coyote pups on east ridge.

so many gravel bikes out by the time I rolled through chabot. multitudes. I should have probably ridden this on gravel but I was feeling so wiped when I woke up that I opted for comfort over efficiency :-)

perfect temps until the sunny grind up from bass cove to chabot stables — hot!  but broken up by a beautiful field of sweet peas, so all was good.
