Felt like cycling through the heart of North Wales, quiet & somehow familiar, reminding me of happy summer holidays spent at grandparents’ in the countryside, although far across the continent.  
Little lanes with grass down the middle & gravel everywhere else in the first third. 
Pen Barras from 100 Greatest climbs & Maes-y-Delyn from Welsh climbs ✅
Ominous clouds did eventually deliver in the last few Ks.
