A social ride organized by a couple of cool cats in town, riders are welcome to ride it at their own pace whilst respecting the nature of the open trails, i.e., be respectful, yield to runners, etc. I did that, though I confess I spaced for 30 sec on Blue Sky and did come up on two joggers too quickly. No issue, disc brakes are strong, but I regret spooking them a bit. I apologized and avoided a repeat  of this scenario for the remainder of the day. Otherwise, my teammate RJ and I gave it some gas throughout, both of us being endurance junkies and curious how quickly we could finish the brutal course. I'm thrilled that I set a new course record, my course time 10:24:34, previous best (from a much hotter day in 2016) was 11:54:00. This course is mostly, really mostly, single track! It includes our most technical descents in the area, such as Ginny Trail and (upper) Timber. If you want to have epic fun and test your endurance then be sure to rollout on this social ride, at any pace, in 2018.
