Tried out a portland trail series race thanks to Carmen Bango. Super fun and came away with second. Felt pretty chill for much of the first bit but then found myself working hard to hold my place on the long gradual downhill on wildwood, then had to book it in to be safe. Loved the firelane 1 section - super gorgeous golden hour light coming through the woods, and felt great to make up time on the hill. Some great performances. so so fun to race again, and to do so in such beautiful and low-key conditions. Wish I were here for more of this series. Must've done something to mess with the average pace.
