Rode E Hawley really, really smooth. The usual group got away but no one wanted to chase. Fine if you've got a man up the road—I think there were two guys in the group of 16 who could claim that. 

Tried a move at 45 mi or so, no one else had the balls (that was the winning move last year), tried to fire up a selection around 1km, but no one else had the balls to continue it.

I should have just fucking stomped it and been like "DON'T EVEN GIVE A FUCK" because everyone was hurting bad enough that I still placed ok-ish in a meaningless group sprint for sixth. Maybe 15th overall?

I hate being a strong Cat 3. I need to drink more beers or spend more time with my kids or the office so I can take the same life-affirming glee in "st" that everyone else seems to.
