I take a disciplined approach to avoiding training in any form, especially intervals. My idea of a training ride involves burritos afterward. Or at least a grilled item. I have been known to ride a long way in one day, just cuz. Also, if it is snowing, or over 100, then I am definitely doing Mt Hamilton that day. Or at least Monte Bello with insufficient water. I will also stop almost any road/mtb/cross ride if I see blackberries. Beats a clifshot. I have met a lot of super people riding. My wife for one. She's super. Duper. Twice I got third in a mtb race. Ironic, cuz my best ever in cross is fifth (or third out of six which I am not sure even counts) and I have done ten times more cross races. Photo Credits to Santa Cruz Creations
