The cycling route "Makarska tour" covers the area around the town of Makarska. The trail begins at the waterfront next to the Miramare hotel and heads westward to the Plaža restaurant further to the Dalmacija hotel, and then along the shore to the Makarska tennis centre, where the gravel part of the beach trail continues to the Cvitačka area. Before the stream, turn towards Mt. Biokovo and the main road. Passing over onto the right side, we are already in the Vepric area, where right at the entrance before the stream, the route turns to the right and follows the creek upstream on the eastern side of the mountain. The single track trail with two hairpin turns takes us to the gravel part of the trail that leads to the cemetery in Veliko Brdo, and then crosses the paved road Makarska-Veliko Brdo onto the gravel road above Puharići. Above Batinići, the trail joins the paved road to Makar, where it runs left of the cemetery into the village and beyond, along the edge od the mountain, towards the east and the hamlet of Mliniva. Next to the spring in Mlinica, the gravel trail climbs up gently to the village Kotišina. From the village monument, the trail goes uphill on the paved road to the Botanical Garden, and descends down towards the church before joging onto the road Makarska - Vrgorac. The paved road descends down to the Adriatic Highway near the vehicle technical inspection centre, and then passes trough Osejava along a forest trail to the Makarska waterfront. The route is moderately demanding and the ride takes about two hours.
