This trail leads you to one of my favourites view point around Maastricht, located right at the last end of St. Pietersberg. From there you can see down to the Albertkanal, as well as Eijsden and even Liege. The rest of the route leads through the forest down to the quary of the ENCI groeve, where you can stop for a coffee break.
