Short ride out to Heckington Windmill and the Miller's House Tea Rooms (open Thurs, Fri, Sat, Sun & Mon — 10:30–16:30, till 5th September). Leave Sleaford heading east via Boston Rd, go past the power plant, up and over the bridge into Kirby la Thorpe, up the hill to Ewerby and then down and round into Heckington. The windmill is located on route near the train station. The home route takes you through Helpringham, Scredington, North Beck and back to Sleaford via Mareham Ln. Route is just over 20 miles (31.5 kilometres) long.
