Parkhurst Forest - divert from Red Squirrel Trail for the Red Squirrel Hide

Cycling Route

Details
10.19 km
165 m
(1 1/2 miles to forest entrance. Recommended route then give 33/4 miles cycling through the forest)

This route forms a spur off the Red Squirrel Trail, taking you to Parkhurst Forest with its Red Squirrel viewing hide.

The route follows an excellent roadside cycle track along Stag Lane, where you cross the main Newport-Cowes road and follow a quieter road to the edge of the Forest. Once in the Forest there is an extensive network of tracks to explore – Forestry Commission England permits cycling on all of the gravel tracks.
