2025 Classic City Marathon Relay - Leg 4
Running Route
Easy
6.43 mi
361 ft
For the CCM marathon relay, Leg 4 is a little over a 10K at about 6.4 miles. It is the toughest climbing leg on the course, covering the rugged finish of the route. It starts in the E23 parking lot before a short section of greenway drops you off on the beautiful UGA campus. You'll run past Sanford Stadium with national championship banners flapping in the wind at the beginning of the toughest section of the course: East Campus Rd. From campus, you will head up the famous Milledge Ave through exciting Five Points. Once you reach Five Points, this leg gets much easier flattening out as you run past fraternity and sorority row with their gorgeous old mansions. After the turn onto Hancock Ave, you will enter the final mile of the race as you scream downhill before climbing your way back up through downtown. After you pass City Hall, you're in for a fast downhill finish where your team will be waiting! This is the highest elevation gain leg at about 250 feet with mostly climbing and a few downhills. The crowd support on this leg will be great as you run through UGA campus, Milledge Ave and downtown Athens!
