Dragon Full lap CCW - Hills First! From Base Camp

This is the full monty! From base camp you can choose 42 miles with two options. In this option Counter Clockwise (CCW) you get some substantial climbing very early to your ride! What goes up must come down! Enjoy! Then things calm down and flatten out for a bit as you cross the Dam enter in the ADA section. Once you reach Newaygo State Park things start to ridiculously fun and flowy again! Hold on, it is a roller coaster all the way to Brower Park! Once through Brower Park you will still have twisty flow and fun just a little less elevation! Once at Division Bridge you have a steep pavement climb! Race your buddies, but reminder you have a good amount of trail to go! Short section 6 is gravel and a good chance to get the heart rate back under control. Section 7 in the preferred direction!!! HOLD ON! This section is most technical the Dragon has to offer. Steep descents, slab rock descents and climbs, hardtail bikers will get their fillings rattled a little! Awesome bridge crossings and vistas, bring your phone out for photos! The last portion of 7 in this direction calms down a little and gives your heart rate a break. Section 8 is twisty and barely wider then your handle bars in many sections and you are feet from the Hard Pond the whole time. You are almost back! Section 9 is a great way to wrap up your lap. Only a couple sizable climbs, couple fun full smile descents and watch for you 2 track back to Base Camp! This direction is prefered for those who want the large hills first vs last on the ride!
