The route takes in the beautiful scenery around Eccup reservoir and Adel.
Travel from the car park at Golden Acre Park LS168BQ right onto Otley Road. Take the left turn just after the Mercury Hotel onto the Leeds Country way bridle path. At bottom of path, cross the road and go straight on up King Lane, the turn first left, then immediately right onto Eccup Moor Road. Travel along this road, you will pass a large farm and the. The road becomes restricted to Water works vehicles only. Enjoy the scenery as you drop down to the Water works, cross a cattle grid and raised ares on the road. At the bottom turn right( sharp turn) and you come the the reservoir. Stop for a little rest and take in the view. Keep going straight on until you get to Harrogate Road. Go straight across onto the pathway which leads round the back of The Leeds Grammar School bending round to the right and ends up on Manor Hiuse Lane, which leads to Wigtown Lane. Turn right onto Wigtown Lane, straight on at the traffic lights onto Alwoodley Lane. At top of Alwoodley Lane turn right onto King Lane. Travel down the hill and turn right at the T junction onto Arthington Lane, then further along left onto Kings Roac. At the roundabout turn left onto Otley Road. Proceed until you reach the entrance to Go.den Acre Park, turn left into Park and dismount at the bike racks. Lock up your bike and enjoy a beverage and maybe a piece of cake at the lovely cafe.
