The Sierras are so nice!! A year ago today, I went to Carson Pass starting from Antioch as a crazy double century, and although it was a great ride, the first and last 50 miles were really unpleasant. So today, we set out to start in Placerville and ride only the good parts of the route. It lived up to the hype and I felt progressively better as the climbing went on! I had a massive burger at mile 72, didn’t cramp on any of the climbing right after, and we bombed the endless descent back to the car. After today, I’ve done 3 out of the 4 rideable Sierra passes this semester - I’ll come back for Tioga another time 👀
