Morning ride

It was a sunny start in the morning, with very high motivation knowing that I would finish the stage to Bregenz today. After 60 kilometers, things got a little bit weird. It became cold (the sun disappeared) and I struggled with the typical issues one faces after several days of cycling. It took a while to find my motivation again, but then I just kept going. Before that, I took quite a few breaks.

As the sun went down, I reached the final real climb. However, descent to Bregenz was not as expected. It was more of a constant rolling but the road would be beautiful during the day, as it passes through small villages and forests. At night, you have to be very careful about animals, potholes and any kind of hazard. There was a construction zone with loose gravel, and cycling was prohibited. So I did what I needed to do without risking a flat tire in the dark.

Finally, I reached Lake Constance and cycled along it to the destination. Wow, this ride was once again an incredible and demanding experience.

With that, my cycling vacation comes to an end and I don’t know when I’ll be able to continue the journey along the North Cape - Tarifa route.
