Late start ENVE test

My HRM is *bugging out* - HR never got above 166....

Still sick. Woke up feeling like I might not do this whole ride. Scenery was freaking gorgeous, and as the day went on it warmed up and the sun even came out for lunch.
I was the first to the top of the first climb, where I was stopped by a plethora of stern police - luckily one spoke English pretty well! Apparently they needed everyone's passports because the king of Spain was going to visit some small community right down the road... Well when they found out there were ~17 of us cyclists whose passports were all in a van behind us and a queue of cars were forming, they got flustered and waved us on. We were told we could pass through but not to stop in the town....then more police stopped us in the town 🙄 anyway, we'd been told to keep an eye out for cows and sheep on the road through that community - turns out that was the least of our problems!
Fun day - rode quite a bit with Gordon except maybe the first 20 miles and until the last 10 miles, where I had to bury this random cyclist who wouldn't stop sucking our wheels... And that meant sacrificing Gordon too...🤷🏼‍♀️😂
We're staying in a converted monastery tonight!

(I never post fully public rides, but I accidentally did - and now I feel like I need to keep it given all the trophies....lololol)
