Coach, you’ve opened your arms
and taken us under your wing,
Helping us see that après
is truly one of life’s finer things.

You’ve shown us how to shred —
from the slopes of Kitsuma and Love Valley,
to trails unmarked,
and airport loops full of dread.

Along the way,
your wisdom and guidance have taken us far and wide.
You introduced many to the pit toilet,
and when the grind life wore us down
and only a forest bath could turn things around,
you led us, gently, to the river’s side.

A true man of character some may call an ace,
Always resilient,
even when his beard gets punched clean off his face.

So now you ride on,
to new climbs, new trails, a new town to call home base —
but know you leave behind
a crew forever shaped by your grace.

While few will miss your draft
We'll all miss the drafts you poured,
Ride on our fearless bear tamer,
a new adventure is at your door. 

So here’s to MB —
May your climbs be short and your descents be fast,
May your beard grow strong and your beer always last.
