Temporarily snagged 10th on the Throwdown.

Whine session/excuses: Of course I missed a turn 🤦‍♂️  Going into this I was thinking “there’s no way I’ll mess up the route finding”…then I blew past the Scar Trail (that’s a sneaky turn). Serves me right. I had the route in my watch but had the screen on HR and alerts turned off…oh well. Looking at the file, I lost about 3min 45sec, so roughly coulda been a smidge under 1:16. My navigation in the boulders was pretty horrid too. Need to work on that. Regardless, even subtracting my additional time, I doubt my effort would last on the board through the month. People are ripping up that mountain!

Beautiful day to be up there! Feel pretty good about the time given the navigation error and the fact that this was my first real run in the Whites this season (aside from my late night hike last week). If it were earlier in the month I’d give it another try. Thanks RTW for putting these segments out there!
