Today’s solo café ride started out in blustery conditions that slowed me down a little, but DJX on Spotify kept the energy up with a solid run of hard-core white girl anthems. I stopped midway for a delicious slice of apple and date loaf with a hot latte before heading back out. Not long after, the weather turned and the last hour and a half was steady rain, with greasy back roads that felt more like a winter CX outing than a summer road ride. Despite it all, I had a fabulous time and it reminded me that I need to plan more café rides.
