Eh… 30th birthday… national champion on the climbs. Selection with four other riders 5 km from the finish, I attacked at 3.5 km to go, then my chain dropped off the front chainring. Had to stop, got caught by the third group, attacked again in that group and chased back solo to the front. In the end, sprinted to 3rd overall and 1st in category… a bitter taste, because I know there was more on the table. Onwards we go.
