Volunteered for Jordan's Revenant Running, got an offer to jump into any distance. Should have taken the 10k option 🤣. It was hot, the start was a week earlier and an hour later than previous years! Body and mind shut down the season after Rabbit. Managed the 9M climb ok, then cramping started, then tripped and fell, then bloated from AS's Tailwind (always too strong for me). Lost all power in the legs or mojo of the brain, walked the 4.5 mile loop (which was 5.5), tried to drop (but didn't get an offer for the ride down). Somehow mastered last 9 mile shuffle without being passed (cramping, flashing the bloat, and swearing while passing 2 guys). There was no way out but to the end. Sigh 😔. I am done now. P.s. race is a full mile over advertised 😫, but hey, there's woodfire pizza at the finish, and I love this company! Thank you Larry for coming with me, helping to volunteer, and waiting at the finish line 🙏❤️
