Unit 49 Hunt #2: Closing the gap on elk!!

11 years ago today, Monday Nov. 10, 2014, as I was riding Breck single track in front of the first substantial winter storm that would close down MTB season, our baby girl Mirabella was born. She would be removed from her deteriorating situation up in Denver several weeks later and then placed with us. We were able to adopt her and her brother in Aug. 2018 (quite the process and struggle). She is one of the brightest relationships in my life and just a privilege to father her. “Thank you for sharpening me all these years, Mirabella!! And thank you for helping me discover early morning mountain bike riding, as yes, it really all cemented when you came to be : ) ”
