Maybe it was the excess sugar intake from the charity Christmas bake sale at work — gluttony, but for a good cause. Or maybe the body is coming around with the lower volume. Let's hope that that it's not a miss timed taper...eeek!

Back to the 'ol reliable winter loop for the typical pre-race workout. The effort came easy, and the stride was smooth, rhythmic, and bouncy — these legs had some pop to 'em! So much so, that I decided to alter the typical set from 2 rounds down to just 1 and instead finish with a few fast 1'ers. No sense in over-indulging here 🤪.

The forecast is looking like it will bring some true XC weather! It's time to party, (regardless of how it goes) I know I'm (as) ready (as I can be at this point)!
